Hello! I didn’t know if anyone had done any review on this type of clay, so I thought this could be helpful! (Sorry I don’t have any pictures, but hopefully my description will be enough.)
At my local Michael’s I couldn’t afford to cough up for Paperclay, what I was hoping to use, so I instead…
I bought these two holsters (here and here) for Jake because I finally broke down and accepted that creating holsters in time for the cons I wanted to go to just wasn’t a realistic possibility and both of these are definitely on the end as far as price goes for holsters (especially leg ones).
There’s a small, plastic slidy thing on the straps the keep any excess held down without affecting the length of the strap. The max upper thigh length (including any length from the buckles, with the extra slidy piece unthreaded for max length) is 28 inches, and the max lower thigh (also including extra buckle length/unthreaded slidy piece) is 21 inches.
I’m only 5’3”, so I’m already on the small side, but both of them adjusted to fit me perfectly, so adjustments basically go as small as you need them to. However, the slidy piece can make it difficult to adjust the actual strap length, so I recommend unthreading the piece from any excess, adjusting the strap length, then rethreading it on to keep everything flat and comfortable. The strap that attaches to your belt adjusts the same way. (I wasn’t able to measure that one, though.)The only problems I’ve had with the holsters were figuring out how to adjust them properly (since the slidy piece made adjusting the actual length pretty difficult) and accidentally pinching myself on the buckles because the tension on the prongs is pretty high.
I highly recommend both of these holsters.
